I would recommend Anne of Green Gables to anyone that likes stories that portray a lifetime. It is about an orphan girl called Anne who goes to live with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, who are siblings and are around 45 years old. The most heart-breaking parts were when Matthew drops down dead and all their life savings are gone. Also when Marilla might go blind and considers selling Green Gabel.
My favourite character was Anne, because she-at first-is really conscious of the way she looks and hates her red hair. In addition she also hates this boy[whose name is Gilbert Blythe] who called her carrot-head and she strives to be better than him in all academic activities. However the main reason I like her is because she always speaks her mind.
